Liverpool’s first signing of the January Window, Virgil van Dijk looks like he is settling in well to life at Merseyside
Following his transfer from Southampton at the start of the month, the 26-year old Netherlands defender shattered the club’s record after the Reds agreed a deal with the Saints believed to be worth around £75m.
Van Dijk enjoyed a debut to remember for Liverpool FC at Anfield when he scored the winner in the Reds’ 2-1 FA Cup third-round win over Everton at Anfield earlier in the month.
He sat out the 4-3 victory over Manchester City at Anfield last weekend due to a minor injury but it looks as if he will be back in contention for the trip to Swansea City in the Premier League on Monday night.
And Van Dijk looked to be in good shape as he trained with his new team-mates at Melwood on Thursday.
Liverpool FC head into this weekend’s round of games in third place in the Premier League table as they look to try and secure Champions League qualification for the second season running under Jurgen Klopp.
