#CAFCC Latest: Plateau United Reject Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Settles for Lagos

Nigerian Professional Football League reigning Champions, Plateau United have rejected the offer to host their continental games in arguably West Africa’s finest Stadium. The Peace Boys were only left with the options of the Agege Stadium and the Nest of Champions after their Rwang Pam home could not meet up with the CAF Standard.

Confirming the development, Albert Dakup, the Club’s media officer said

“I can confirm that we will be playing our next continental match in Agege that is the directive as confirmed by the team’s administrator.

“We hope that Lagos will be a good option for us as we will count on their support for the match,” he added.

Plateau takes on Algeria’s USM Alger on Saturday in the CAF Confederations Cup Play-off round. Tunisian giants, Etoile du Sahel ended their Champions League hopes.
